Cranberry and Camembert Puffs 0 (0) Rate Print Send via email Preparation time 20 minutes, plus chilling Cooking time 20 minutes, plus chilling Amount Serves 12 Category Sauce Appetisers Ingredients 320g pack ready-rolled puff pastry sheet 125g (4oz) Camembert cheese 100g (31/2oz) Ocean Spray® Wholeberry Cranberry Sauce 15g (1/2oz) walnuts, finely chopped 1 thyme sprig, leaves picked 1 large egg, beaten Poppy seeds, to garnish Directions Line two baking trays with baking parchment. Unroll puff pastry, rolling slightly thinner width ways. Trim to 24 x 32cm (9½ x 30½in). Cut into 12 equal squares. Slice Camembert into 12 small wedges, placing one in the centre of each pastry square. Top with a spoonful of sauce, a sprinkling of walnuts and a few thyme leaves. Brush pastry borders of each rectangle with a little beaten egg. Fold square diagonally to make a triangle shape and press the borders to seal. Place triangles on the prepared baking sheets, spacing well apart. Chill for 30min. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan). Brush tops of triangles with a little more egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Serve warm, or at room temperature, with extra cranberry sauce for dipping.
